Privacy Policy
The short version: we publish mediators’ professional listings and their open dates, we never publish who is on a mediator’s calendar, and we use ordinary analytics and advertising tools that you can opt out of. The details follow.

1. Who we are
Mediator Master List (“we,” “us”) operates mediatormasterlist.com, a directory that shows attorneys and their staff which mediators have open dates. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors, from mediators who list with us, and from the calendars mediators connect, and how we use it. 2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Mediator applications and profiles: name, firm, email, phone, city, practice areas, a photo, biographical text, rates, and the link to a scheduling calendar. Most of this is published on your public profile by design; your email and calendar link are not.
- Payment details: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems; we keep the subscription status and Stripe’s reference IDs.
- Portal accounts: email, a hashed password, and the changes you request to your listing.
- Messages: anything you send through our contact form or the first step of the signup form (name, email, phone), so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked (including “Call” buttons on mediator profiles), the search terms you type into the site, browser and device type, referring site, and approximate location derived from your IP address, which we use to show the mediators nearest you by default.
- Cookies and similar technologies: Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and Google Ads conversion tags, described in Section 4. Cloudflare Turnstile protects our forms from automated abuse and may set a cookie for that purpose.
- Server logs: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records requests (IP address, time, page) for security and reliability.
Calendar data from mediators
When a mediator connects a calendar, our systems read that feed on a schedule to determine which days are open, morning-only, afternoon-only, or booked. We display only that availability status. We do not display, and do not retain beyond the moment of processing, event titles, descriptions, attendee names, or any other details of what is on a mediator’s calendar. Names of parties or cases never leave the mediator’s calendar system through us.
3. How we use information
- To run the directory: publish mediator profiles, show live availability, and connect attorneys with mediators.
- To manage listings and subscriptions, provide the mediator portal, and send transactional email (application status, welcome messages, password links, billing notices).
- To respond to your messages.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, using analytics.
- To advertise the directory, including showing ads to people who have visited the site (retargeting) and measuring whether ads lead to visits or calls.
- To protect the site and its users from fraud, abuse, and automated traffic, and to comply with law.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and site activity, the Meta Pixel to measure and target advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure advertising on Google. These services set cookies or use similar identifiers and receive information about your visit, which they may combine with other data they hold under their own privacy policies.
You can limit this:
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Adjust personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings and Meta Ad Preferences.
Our site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there is no common standard for them.
5. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Public listings: a mediator’s profile information (name, firm, phone, city, practice areas, photo, biography, rates) and availability status are public, and are also made available in machine-readable form so that search engines and AI assistants can help attorneys find mediators. That is the purpose of a listing.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, security, and email delivery infrastructure), Stripe (payments), Google (analytics, advertising, and reading connected Google Calendars), Meta (advertising), Resend (transactional email), and the scheduling services mediators choose to connect (such as Calendly, Acuity, Texas Neutrals, or an ICS feed), which we access only to read availability.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
- Business transfers: if the directory is sold or merged, information may transfer to the successor under this policy.
6. Retention
Mediator profile and account information is kept while the listing is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing and records. Messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for our records. Availability data is a rolling snapshot that is overwritten as calendars update. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings of those services (Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months).
7. Your choices and rights
Mediators can view and update their listing through the portal or by emailing us, and can cancel a subscription at any time. Anyone can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about them by writing to [email protected]. We will verify the request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
California residents have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of the sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use the advertising controls in Section 4 or email us. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions with data-protection laws may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability, and may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where those laws apply, we process information on the basis of our contract with listed mediators, our legitimate interests in operating and promoting the directory, your consent where required for cookies, and compliance with legal obligations. Our services are hosted in the United States.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable providers to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The directory is a professional service for attorneys and mediators and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Third-party sites
Mediator profiles link to mediators’ own websites and scheduling pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service grows. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
